The Mansfield R-IV School District is excited to announce that Mansfield Middle School has been named a National Blue Ribbon School for 2021! Nomination for this prestigious award was a progression starting with the Missouri Commissioner of Education, Margie Vandeven, naming the Mansfield Middle School a Gold Star recipient earlier this year. Following the receipt of school nominations from States the U.S. Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona, and his staff then determined recipients of the National Blue Ribbon award for 2021.
Missouri Gold Star Schools
Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has announced eight Missouri Gold Star Schools for 2021. The program, which aligns with the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, recognizes schools for outstanding academic achievement or for performing with high academic success.
Brad Hanger has taken the position of School Resource Officer (SRO) at the Mansfield R-IV staff. Mr. Hanger has been making his rounds throughout the district so students and staff have an opportunity to know who he is and a little about what he will be doing for the district. The SRO position will enhance safety and security in the district, aid in managing chronic non-attendance, and enhance the ability to support students in making good decisions.
